QUALITY CONTROL
Quality Control is the jargon associated with engineering and manufacturing -- the pillar, the mainspring of the said activities. Instrumentation systems ensure design and development of products or services in sync with industry parameters and customer requirements. Tracing back to history, we have civil engineering projects like the Great Pyramid of Giza, construction and repair of ships, etc. that adhered to quality control but without the use of sophisticated quality control equipment as developed in the contemporary scenario. It was from the period of the Industrial Revolution that 'quality control' or 'quality assurance' started riding herd in all engineering and allied activities. Almost every product developed whether it is pharma products or processed food items and the like are all a result of effective laboratory quality control. The electronic gadzets and gizmos, the vehicles, auto spare parts, etc. are also the aftereffects of the usage of quality control equipment.
Laboratory quality control involves checking of the quality of raw materials to be used for manufacturing and further the final checking of the manufactured products. Analytical laboratory products are used in the process to ensure zero-defect and compliance of the output and raw materials to set industry norms. Laboratory quality control is the key activity in chemical manufacturing units, laboratories, pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing units, food processing units and more. Various types of quality control equipment specific to every category of products are utilized. These quality control equipment for laboratory quality control may range from biological safety cabinet, clone picking tool, conductivity meters to dispensers, dry block heaters and the list is endless. This QA/QC Manager's role is with one the Middle East's leading main contractors.
Requirements: - You will be a site based and site oriented engineer who is in charge of all quality assurance and quality control responsibilities on the construction project.
- Establish a particular quality assurance plan for the project, while taking into consideration the project's contractual conditions and specifications.
- Represent all QA matters for the project management towards the Client and/or his consultant.
- Ensuring the management and distribution of QA related documents on site.
First of all, quality control is the "check" or the "end-of-th-immediate-task-at-hand" record or analysis that deterimines the acceptability or unacceptability of a product, a product plan, a product part, etc., Tasks related to quality control may include documented reviews, calibration, or additional types of measureble testing (sampling, etc.,). Tasks related to quality control will reoccur more often than the activities associate with quality against the original specifications that were created before the product existed. It might be like hectic job, but it is like doing something useful to mankind throught the world. This kind of jobs give work satisfaction. They are very well established and have a highly regarded international management team. They have current position available on a $40m training centre in Kandahar -Afghanistan for the US Corps of Engineers.
