Resident Medical Officers (RMOs):
RMO jobs in various countries and an RMO job in Malta will provide an excellent introduction to working as a doctor in Malta. RMOs form part of the 24 hour medical team cover providing routine and urgent medical care in various private hospitals throught Malta. Doctors of many desciplines are invited to apply, including emergenc, surgical, internists and anesthetists. These roles will usually appeal to doctors with 3-10 years of clinical experience.


RMO's On Work as Observers               

The RMOs  provide 24 hour coverage with one RMO presence always and two RMos to work simultaneously during peak hours or as the workload dictates. RMOs must attent to any patient, visitor or staff needing their care whilst on the hospital premises, but are not obliged to attend to individuals outside the hospital grounds, unless specifically instructed by senior management and alternative RMO cover is avaible for the hospital meantime. RMO's will work in a hospital providing a comprehensive range of healthcare services - ranging from simple blood tests to diagnostic scans, from cosmetic surgery to dental services, from hair removal by laser to complex surgery. To qualify for a job as a RMO in Malta, doctors must be EU citizens.
