ARCHITECTURE
Careers in architecture are involved with the art and science of designing buildings and other physical structures. New buildings are going up all the time and we still marvel at the great buildings of the past that have withstood the test of time all over the world. People with architecture degrees may be involved in many aspects of the process and product of planning, designing and constructing spaces where people will live or work. Architects must be considerate of the functional, social and aesthetic aspects of their work, and also have their own distinct point of view. Architects are the professionals involved with the planning, designing and reviewing of the construction of buildings and structures using materials and components while considering mass, space, form, volume, texture, structure, light, shadow, materials, program, cost, construction limitations and technology. Most people think of blueprints and stuffy meetings with guys and suits directing construction projects but architecture entails so much more.

- Provision of engineering design solutions for Architectural design related issues, utilizing the design team of the Professional services division.
- Material specifications.
- Maintaining quality control.
- Assistance in the Management of cost and time control
- Management of the detailed design process from commencement to delivery, management of design consultants, writing technical specifications, scope of works, RFP documents for buildings, landscaping. etc.,
- Verification of detailed design packages ensuring complaince with International, UAE and Oil an Gas company requirements as a minimum.
Requirements:
- B.sc or Masters Degree in Architecture is essential.
- Membership of a recognized professional body, AIA, RIBA
- Architecture - Design and Implementation.
- Landscape - Design and Implementation.
- Writing of technical documentation.
- Excellent verbal, written and reading capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Good knowledge and experience of British and UAE codes and norms.
- Experience with design review and design supervision
- Experience of working in the Middle East (UAE) is required as is a valid Driving License.
